Dr. Karin Tynelius, IDP-C, is a Non-Executive Director at Keliber Oy and a member of the Technical Advisory Board for the “TiO2 World Summit”.
Karin created MINERAL MARKETS in 2019.
Karin started her career at Sandvik Steel in Sweden before moving to the United States to pursue her doctoral degree. She worked in research for Rio Tinto Alcan in Canada before joining Air Liquide in France. In 1999, Karin joined the French mining and metallurgical company Eramet, where she held various positions in technical development before joining mineral sands miner and titanium dioxide (TiO2) feedstock producer TiZir in London, UK, in 2013 where she was in charge of the strategic market analysis.
Dr. Karin Tynelius received her Director’s Certificate from the International Director’s Programme at INSEAD, Fontainebleau, France. She also holds a Ph.D. from Drexel University, Philadelphia, USA and a M.S. from the Royal Institute of Technology (KTH) in Stockholm, Sweden, both in in Metallurgy and Materials Engineering.
Karin has 30+ years of experience from the mining, metallurgical and chemical industry working with mineral sands, TiO2, steel, aluminum, nickel, and manganese. She now shares her know-how as a consultant and as a Non-Executive Director (NED).
